TRANSFERS FROM and TO the AIRPORTS
We can organize transfers from and to the airports (Fiumicino and Ciampino). Ask for information.
LUGGAGE STORAGE
If you need to store your luggage next St.Peter Home, you can ask at Chill Out. It’s the small cafè that offers a luggage storage service in Via del Lago Terrione, 10. Ask them for the opening times.
Alternatively you could leave your luggage at the Termini station luggage storage. The largest in the city, it is very useful because it is perfectly connected to both airports. It is recommended to book in advance.
CHECK-OUT
The check-out is by 10:00am on the day of departure. If possible we always try to be flexible with times, just ask.
Before leaving, please leave your sets of keys and the garage remote control on the table inside the apartment. When you exit, please close the door behind you (you don’t need keys to exit).
WASTE: SEPARATE COLLECTION
The rubbish bins are located in Via del Lago Terrione, just before the S. Pietro station, on the right side.
The collection is separated into: plastic, paper, organic, glass and undifferentiated.
DRINKING WATER
Rome’s water is drinkable. You can use tap water to fill your water bottle or for cooking.
On your walks around the city you will see small fountains called “nasone” (big nose). These are useful for cooling off in the summer and for filling your water bottles.
PICKPOCKETS: BEWARE, no SCARE
Rome is a large metropolis, pay attention to your pockets and backpacks when you are in crowded places such as the metro, buses or in line for some museum.
My advice: avoid bringing valuable things and passports. If you have a backpack keep it in front of you when you are in crowded places.
PARKING
A private covered parking space is available and it is located on the -1 floor of the building.
It is ideal for cars up to 4.5 meters long and up to 1.8 meters wide. Larger cars may have difficulty maneuvering at the entrance.
The parking must be reserved.
AIR CONDITIONING
The air conditioner is equipped with a timer with automatic shutdown at certain times for energy efficiency reasons. If it turns off at times when you need it, you can simply turn it back on using the remote control.
Please in any case turn it off before leaving. Upon your return, a few minutes will be enough to re-establish the preferred temperature inside the apartment.
HOT WATER
Hot water is supplied by the electric water heater. The switch is located in the bathroom to the left of the mirror.
It is recommended to always leave the switch positioned on ON
If the switch is positioned on off, or all the hot water has run out, the water heater takes approximately 90/120 minutes to fully recharge.
VENTILATION
After the shower, you are kindly asked to leave the bathroom door open to ensure better air circulation and avoid excessive condensation inside the bathroom.
We also recommend leaving at least the kitchenette window open to ensure better air circulation (there are mosquito nets and grates in all high windows).
WINTER HEATING
The winter heating system is of a condominium type (single boiler for the entire building). The switching times are indicated by the condominium and usually include: switching on in the early morning and late afternoon until evening.
Each radiator is equipped with a thermostatic valve that allows you to regulate its power during the hours it is turned on.
